I have a new computer. Yaaayyyy. Its mousepad (since it's a laptop) is incredibly sensitive, and touching NEAR it makes it click and do crazy things while I type. It'll take some breaking in, but I'm having fun.
Speaking of fun, I'm not having fun at school. Homework, projects, finals are all coming to a close soon. Blegh. At least afterwords I can get a few weeks of peace in.
Honestly, in the last week I've been on dA maybe twice. I feel kinda bad. I've lost a lot of motivation to draw. Although I blame that entirely on Girl Genius, which is from here on the main focus of the journal. If you don't know Girl Genius, it's a wonderful steam-punky webcomic/real-comic series about mad scientists basically, and I have fallen heels over head for it. I read all of what they have in about 3 days, and it's got me in a strange mood. Strange as in 'I haven't slept in 36 hours and instead of sleeping I'm going to disassemble and sort out the various printer bits I can harvest from an old printer my parents were eager to shove onto me and out of the house. It's fascinating though; so many gears, and two small motors! Personally, I want to assemble a robotic spider now, but the hardest part will probably be finding an appropriate shell to hold everything in place. It really makes me wonder how they make real products. I think it's something like a 3d printer? Not sure.
Anyways, you should read it: [link]
I think I'm going to rearrange my room tonight too; it's a little crowded in here, and I need the extra space to work in.
I do feel bad about dropping drawing/animating for so long, but I'm having fun at least. *thumbs up*?
